An intimate 650 sq ft cocktail bar and private event space, connected to South Branch, in the heart of downtown Chicago.
This rustic chic respite is designed with dark wood, stone, and rich leather, complemented by accent lighting to create a refined yet cozy space where guests can enjoy elevated bites and classic cocktails.
A central horseshoe bar accented by a stone column is the focal point of the room, offering seating for 17. The room is encased with floor-to-ceiling frosted windows running along Monroe St. on the north, and modern turquoise walls with whisky-focused black and white photography line the remaining perimeter. A drink rail wraps the room, allowing for 20 additional guests to cocktail comfortably.
For guests looking to stop in for a cocktail in the Loop, or those looking to host an intimate private event in the heart of the city, Monroe Reserve is the sleek and impressive choice. Just check the “Reserved” sign above the door to indicate the room is closed for a private event (or call ahead).
The atmosphere is tastefully complemented by a food menu of shareable bites such as the Charcuterie Board with the chef’s selection of assorted meats and cheese, baby artichokes, olives, pepperoncini, toasted almonds, candied pecans, flavored mustards, apple mostarda, and grilled ciabatta bread; unique items like the Bacon Flight with a choice of preparation, including candied, pecan praline, maple peppercorn, or jalapeño brown sugar; and the Spicy Lobster Martini with sweet and spicy chili aioli, scallions, and crispy wonton chips.
The beverage program features select wines on tap by the glass or bottle, a robust whiskey list, elevated spirits, classic cocktails like the Old Fashioned, Negroni, Paloma and more, and craft beer on draft, offered in a 6 oz taster, full glass, or by the flight. Unique to Monroe Reserve, there is a rotating handle of Bourbon County Stout, so guests can always enjoy a new varietal.
With one 60” flat panel HDTV with HDMI and Airplay connectivity, the room is ideal for special event slideshows, and presentations.
